Skillet Apple Crisp
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cook Time: 1 Hour 5 Minutes
Ingredients
Apple Filling:
Campfire Grill & Cast Iron Skillet
10-12 Honey Crisp Apples (Peeled, Cored, Sliced)
2 Tbsp Vanilla
4 Tbsp Brown Sugar
4 Tbsp Cinnamon
4 Tbsp Cornstarch
1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
4 Tbsp Salted Butter
Crumble Topping:
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Tbsp Cinnamon Sugar
3/4 Cup Flour
1/2 Tbsp Nutmeg
1 Stick Salted Butter
Instructions
Let the fire sit for 30 minutes
Mix the sugars, flour, and nutmeg together for the topping
Cut the butter into small pieces
Using a fork, work it into the topping mix
Heat butter in cast iron skillet
Add the salt and apples; cook them until they start to get soft
Stir in the rest of the filling ingredients
Add the crumb mixture to the top of the apples and cover with tin foil
Cook for 20-30 minutes, and enjoy!
