What length is your firewood?

Our firewood is cut to 16 inches in length.

How much firewood is in a cord?

A cord of firewood measures 4 feet wide x 4 feet high x 8 feet long and is 128 cubic feet in volume.

Do you provide stacking services?

We are unable to provide stacking services at this time.

When should I purchase firewood for the winter season?

We offer delivery discounts for firewood ordered by September 1st.

What types of wood make for the best firewood?

Denser hardwoods provide the best firewood, as they release more BTUs per volume. At Eric’s Firewood, we sell only dense hardwoods, including oak, maple, hickory, and birch. The denser and drier the firewood, the better it will burn and the more heat it will produce.

What is a BTU?

BTU stands for British Thermal Unit and is a traditional unit of heat. It is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit. In terms of firewood, dense wood provides the best firewood, releasing more BTUs per volume of wood.
